It should be in the same location as on my 2000. Its tucked away on the drivers side of the block, down low, behind the starter near where the oil dip stick tube enters the block. Mine became a whole lot easier to get to when I pulled the starter. For the starter you will need a 10mm 12point wrench, and you will need a 10mm wrench to remove the bracket that holds the Crank position sensor in place. Hope this helps. Its hard to see when the starter is in there.

ok yea i got the senser fixed but now i have a huge issue with fuel! im up creek with out the paddle! i think my injector pump is goin bad! i cant run more than 2000 rpms or it feels like its missing! im tryin to sell this truck so i dont want to spend alot just enough to fix it! does anyone know the problem or may have a vp44 stock for sale?
