Get a v/b or a at least a shift kit in and your time frame will be unknown; Which is better than what you are at now which will be a couple of days pulling a trailer. A couple of weeks unloaded. A month or two pampered driving.

My truck made it 2 years with My Drag comp on there and 18 months of that, I had my 275's too. Now, with that said, yes I do get on it hard every once and a while, but most the time not too bad. I also did some really heaving towing in there too. I put about 50k on it, the box went on the night I brought the truck home.

I wouldn't plan on that though. My friend ran the Regular comp, and fried his tranny in about 3 months. As for a good trans to replace it with. Look at Goerend, DTT and Suncoast. I hear HTS makes a really good tranny too, but I don't know as much about them.
