Why wont my truck spin positive?

My truck wont spin positive. I changed the rear end fluid and added that tube of oil that I was supposed to. It's positive in the grass and going down a wet road @55 but not when I power brake it on dry pavement.

if its a clutch type posi-track then it could just be worn out. Once you get alot of miles of turns on them they tend to become weaker. Also if your brakes are pulling unevenly then that could be another part of it.

StrokeThisGoat, Today I'm going to try the map override switch. That paint diagram was pretty good

I didn't even have time to get to the map switch today.
Is there any way to adjust the rear brakes? That seems like the first thing I'm gonna try, since it won't cost anything. The truck has 115k on it.

When you change your fluid your suppose to add the aditive at your discretion. You are suppose to have chatter and keep adding additve until the shatter stops. The additve can make your clutches too slick and they'll just slip.

So do you think that I should drain it and only add say half a tube? What would be the negative effects of to little?

I would only add a fraction of the tube, if any, my 98 never needed any. Take it for a spin and do some figure 8's. If you get clatter. Add some, do more figure 8's, keep adding until the clatter goes away. You really may not need any.
