Don't get me wrong I like my 2002.5 mirrors over my 1998. But I'd never be putting money into swapping mirrors.

I put the non-heated/non-power on my truck and like em. I have read about doing a conversion where if you can find the power/heated ones at a junk yard or cheap enough somewhere, you can put the internals in them...

Do a search for threads on mirror's and you'll find some good info that we've already talked about.

2000 CTD, HOT Juice w/Attitude, Smarty, Mach 2 injectors (105 HP), 4" exhaust, BHAF, SB Clutch, FASS 150 ARP 12mm studs, stage 3 snow kit.

2008 f350/96 cummins in the works.

You have to take all the guts out of the 3rd gen tow mirrors and swap over to the 2nd gen tow mirrors. That is the only way to get power/heated 2nd gen tow mirrors.

Although to answer your original question. No, the 3rd gen mirrors will not bolt up to our 2nd gen trucks.
