Turbo break in?

My new turbo will be here Friday

Do I need to break it in or do anything special when I put it on?

Make sure you prime the bearing with fresh engine oil before installing the turbo. You want to get oil run though it...

Other than that I don't know of any break in proceedure...

Be easy on it for a couple hundred miles and let everything wear in together.

My buddy just put a new turbo on his 01.5, and the guy he got it from/whos shop we installed it in, recommended 100 miles to my friend.

seemed to work just fine, its been on there since week after christmas and my bud says no problems whatsoever with it-
