Sounds like a bad ground could be a issue...

But the listing of error code would be helpful...

Here is my OBDII write up...
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%2...rror_codes.htm

And the listing of codes...

Could be time for a New ECM too. Its really hard to say. I would check all of your grounds and connections first, but it may very well be that the computer is shot.

lincoln welder

The beauty of the classic 3 regaurdless of the year is the smooth clean arc and the ac 120,220 power for pipe welding your remote has ac power for hand tools. My welder is a 1991 classic 3d, with a Contenental diesel i believe how its spelled when i order my new classic 3d i will order the perkins they start better in the cold super quite and the 3ds have a 100% duty cycle at 300 amps mine is a 100% duty cycle 200 amps the price tag of $11,000 is something to think of, the turn around rate is well worth it.

Yeah i put a ac inverter on mine. It helps for now. Its been played with! It will stack metal with the best of em up hill on pipe. But im fixin to order me a 300. That ac plug makes all the diference in the world. With perkins and remote bout 11650 out the door. I dont think thats too bad. Gonna keep my other one as a backup.

Voltage regulator is internal on the PCM...

So I know that the 12V trucks can put a old school voltage regulator on for a fix. But I've never seen it done on a 24V truck. I assume it could be done for a temporary fix...

But the ultimate way is to replace the PCM...
