the smarty stack was awsome... with the stock turbo and injectors you gotta be a lil careful just due to the amount of fuel you will pull with the two... ok so you havent had a winter down here yet without the gridheater? will you be going to the or cal diesel rally in redding?

think of it like not waiting to start when the truck says wait to start. Get in and start the truck without waiting, same thing.

like i said i think it was well worth the 80 bucks.

If you want one let me know

when you look at the heater you have to admit it is at least a little restrictive and anymore power is still more power!

I think Adam Winslett dynoed 17hp higher on Tri Valley's dyno with that grid heater delete. And with the amount of fuel and injectables he has, thats not a huge gain. IIRC they gained about 6hp on a stock truck. Its not much of a gain for the price. As far as intake elbows go, I've seen some custom built ones out of 3inch tube that look pretty nice and plan on building one myself to compliment the new twins, and keep the pressure a little lower with a pressure regulator until I get the head o-ringed.

that horsepower increase is probably true. But a increase is still a increase.
But like i said what else do they do?

I noticed a large increase in throttle response and my egts dropped a bit. If you are looking to increase power it does and 17 hp for 80 bucks isnt a bad deal in my book. But for diesels we are used to huge gains from bolt on parts.

Have you thought of switching to an adrenaline box? Also a port n polish of the head would be pretty impressive.
I have the grid delete also, and when it gets down in the 20's, things get white smokey. Didn't really feel any diff in the pants but im not really pushing as much fuel as you either.

Judging by your sig and his, you are pushing a bit more fuel than he is. Or he doesn't have bosch injectors. Bosch never made anything that comes close to a 200hp over injector. They are actually only about 45hp over. So if they are bosch injectors, your stage 5's will have a lot more fuel, and smarty doesn't really add much on top, it just changes the fueling curve.
