Transmission Problem

I have a 2000, 2500 4x4 with an automatic trans. The problem is when I roll to a stop the trans isn't disengageing and if i stop completely the engine will stall. When i'm rolling the trans seams to shift ok. Any ideas what the problem is.

Sounds like the torque converter lock up clutch isn't properly dissengaging. How many miles are on the truck/ trans? Is the truck stock, is the trans stock? That kind of info can be very helpful. Also are there any trouble codes?

The truck has 141,000 miles, tranny is stock and was rebuilt about 35,000 miles ago. The motor is stock except for high ram intake and some exhaust work. The truck has 4:10 gears and 35" tires. No trouble codes yet.

Did you just buy this truck or have you had it for a while?
