dead radio and power mirrors

dead radio,power mirrors, i went to adjust my mirror in my 2001 and the radio went dead and no power mirrors now,,checked the fuses all seems well ,am i missing something,,i did not check the fuses in the little holders (iod) i think is one,, should i put more effort into getting those out and look or does someone know were to look otherwise thanks!!!!!!!!

instead of pulling each fuse to check it, use a test light. this saves alot of time and hassle. just turn ignition on (no need to start engine), make sure you put your test light on a good ground and touch each side of the fuse. there is two small holes on every fuse that you can touch the metal on the top without pulling the fuse. if there is not power on both posts, the fuse is bad. this is a good method because sometimes it is hard to see if the fuse is blown just by looking.

check the fuse in the cab think its number 15 its the only one with a black cover on it

Yep, same thing happened to me, ecept my truck wouldnt start..check those IOD fuses in the holders its on of thoses.

Well, I don't know where start yet with the mirrors. But the radio. If you don't care for a aftermarket deck (or if you already have one). Just run your own wires. 22awg is what I've found on these and that has a tendency to short out stuff. I'd 16awg for the power and 18awg for the speakers.

the same thing happened in my 2000 like 3 days age and it was also my i.o.d fuse its a little tricky getting the clip out but everything works now
