Edge Juice w/ Attitude

I was looking at getting a juice used w/ the hot unlock, level 6 on it. I will have it on 1 or 2 all the time w/ few exceptions. Question is, is this all right on a clutch/fuel system that are basically stock? Also, I've heard don't tap the VP44 until I have the upgraded fuel system. Is this correct, even if I keep it on levels 1/2 and monitor fuel pressure? All in all, good or bad choice to get one relatively cheap?

'99 2500 4X4 5spd 104K miles Ext Cab, longbed, Banks exhaust, Exhaust Brake, BHAF, comp, Raptor 150, gauges, 100 hp sticks.

you will only get 65 hp i think if you dont tap the wire it comes with a fuel pressure gauge on it just watch it like a hawk but i am almost positive you will need to upgrade your fuel system

it will be ok as long as your lift pump is working well. But if you run the edge on 0 and it doesn't run good pressure then it doesn't matter you have the edge your pump is just not keeping up and you need a new one. But your clutch will need help if you bump it up.

When I put the edge on I couldn't get past 1 without my pressure dropping below 6psi, so I would recommend upgrading your lift pump too a fass or airdog first.

Yeap... I would leave the wire tap alone till you get a update fuel system and pump. Other than that you risking your VP44 with that stock pump.

I finally got the truck back together for the second time. I am looking into possibly getting the edge juice w/attitude and was wandering if the fass 95 lift pump with the 3/8 line would supply the fuel needed for this. I have the superchip programmer right now and it set on high but it doesn't seem like it has the power that it should have. I was reading the post on the Map sensor and was wondering if it could be the problem. I do know that with the superchip it is not showing any codes being thrown but who knows this is the first Dodge I have owned.

My truck also after driving it for seven or so miles will actually quiten down, while cruising down the road and sound like a completely deferent truck, is this normal?

the fass 95 is plenty of fuel. The superchip doesn't really add a ton of power. You will like the edge better and can adjust on the fly.

Are you letting it warm up first?

I appriciate all the help first of all.

I was wondering if getting the edge juice w/attitude is the right thing to do right now. I don't have any mods done to the trans right now and I am afraid if I put the edge on there it will fry the trans but I don't have any guages and I know I need them. I believe it is a better deal to by the edge with the guages than buying everything seperate.

I use my truck as a daily driver and pull a filth wheel camper that is approx. 13,000 Ibs almost every weekend in the summer and around here there are a several mountains that are pretty steep.

I just want the best set up I can get without going crazy with $$$$. I am really going crazy because I am used to the immediate power of the big V8 gasoline trucks. So please help me.

if you get the juice don't tap the pump wire and you should be fine for a while and save up to upgrade your trans. It is a better deal to get the edge it's what I did and I don't regret it one bit

What does it not let the edge do when you don't tap the pump wire. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I am not that educated on the performance products. Will it not let it supply the fuel to increase horse power? Or about the same as the superchip and can you stack the superchip with the edge or would it be better to get injectors?
