Dang Silencer Ring!

Hi, today I tried to take off the silencer ring. I had to small flat screwdrivers, but just could not get the thing to budge, and quit because I was afraid I was going to hurt the turbo in some way.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

The silencer ring basicly tones down the turbo whine. i wasn't able to really tell a difference until i got my intake on and now with the 5'' exhaust it has a really nice whine to it

this may be a dumb question, but did you take the snap ring out before you tried prying on the silencer ring? i'm not trying to be smart but sometimes things get overlooked

Nah, don't worry about it, it's a valid question.

I was trying to get the snapring itself off, but it wouldn't budge for some reason. I haven't tried again, as I've been pretty busy and am installing longtubes on another truck right now.

Yeap the Snap ring must come out before the silencer ring will come out...
