Looking at two items for truck

I am looking at replacing my stock speakers in my truck. But the local audio place told me all this stuff about matching the speakers up to my truck and because i had the infinity system in it that I may not find any that would work right and bla bla bla. Is all that true or can i just buy a good quality speaker and put in and it will work? I don't want to mess up to bad on it, needs to sound good and work right. Just looking at your thoughts on this one, also if I can just buy a good quality speaker and put in it are there any adapter plugs out there to use instead of cutting all the wires up in the doors.

Now for number 2, what are your thoughts about a raptor fuel pump? My brothers truck has a holley on it just like mine and we can't keep fuses in it now, checked all the wires and connections everything is good. Redid most of the wires and still blows them:, so we think it is the pump so going with something better. Is a Raptor a good way to go?

Thanks for any info,

I have a Raptor and I love it! Its amazing!! You can adjust the PSI on the side of the pump with an easy turn of a wrench...and for 399 its deffinitly well worth it!!!

Your rear speakers are a direct replacement you won't have any issues. Your front...... If you don't have tweeters in your pillars than you'll have no issues. If you do, then that's a component system I believe, although I'm still not sure you'd have issues just replacing the 6x9 in the door. Regardless if you got the component set up you are suppose to replace it with another component set up and those are designed for high sound quality systems in mind.

Anyway you look it at you are still going to have to cut your factory wires.

i went 150 go big or go home son lol....i personally like the Raptor better then the HPFP from FASS...I have delt with both, and this one is sooooooo much quieter...now the air dog 150s w/ filters were/are on sale for 499, but i have friends that do nothing but complain about them, as far as filters (of any kind) dont last long at all on them...

I think we are going to just go with a pump, no filters. Just seems easier. I do also guess they come with good instructions lol
