vp44 questions?

so i have a 2001 VP44 and it has 140000 on the stock pump that is about to eat it. I am looking to upgrade and was surfing the net looking at pumps. what do you think about the hot rod VP44? or what about the monster VP44? what are the differences in the two pumps? are there any advantages and disadvantages to each of the pumps?

i just lost mine at 120000 but that was because of my apps going out and the previous owners bad choice of wire taping. Ive havent heard much of the monster vp44 but ive herd the hotrod 44 is ok. Im having mine re-done at the local injection shop costs a lil more but it being built the way i want it so its worth it.

The Monster shouldnt be on a Daily Driver IMO...idk how they are w/ electronics...i know they make great HP on fuel only...but I think that a Hot Rod pump is the BIGGEST waste of money!!!! you can make 600hp on a SO pump so why would you need to buy a hot rod? From the dyno results that I have seen when tapped the Hot Rod Pump looses hp...I also know that the guy at 'monstervp.com' or something like that (he has vids on youtube) will warrenty the pump but when it dies he says that you starved it of fuel and will not replace it...I have an Industrail Injection SO VP44 and I like it right well...but its your truck....

Why do Hot Rod pumps make bad daily drivers? I know a kid who runs one with 100 horse sticks and a FASS with programming by Quadzilla Adrenaline.

I know several people that drive them everyday too...but they rob mpg's...its like having a SO pump with a Drag Comp on 100% of the time...its just a lot to drive around with on the daily, haul with, it can be done but its a pita...

Yeap... A stock SO pump will perform better with electronics that a HotRod pump... Not to mention you can tone it down if needed (snow and ice, slick conditions, etc)

Don't rule out simply switching to a HO VP44. Seems to me like that would bridge the gap. But would there be issues with electronics?
