What auto tranny will work in my 98.5 and does anyone have one ????

I just blew the tranny in my 98 24 valve and I was wondering if any one has a tranny forsale within 200 miles of Massachusetts.

ALSO.... WHAT YEAR TRANNY CAN I USE????

That depends on what power mods you have on your truck.

The electronics are different from year to year as well. I know a 2000 or up won't work with yours, and the older ones probably won't either. You may even have issues with a 99, I'm not sure. But that isn't too hard, just switch the electronic from your stock trans into the new one you get, and you should be just fine.

Have you done anything to the truck yet? Throwing another stock tranny in your truck may save you money, but its quite likely to do the same thing down the road, especially if you have a box and/or injectors. I'd consider having yours rebuilt with some upgraded parts, although it is more expensive.
