Ppump on a 01

Can you put a Ppump and a 12 valve head on a 01 and everything hook up ok?

I turned 21
If you did the head, then you will also need to put 12 valve pistons in. The 12 valve injector sprays in from the side, and the 24 valve comes in from top center and there is a difference in the piston bowls for that. Leave the 24 valve head and buy some P-pump 24v lines from Scheid.

I thought you would have to change the head due to 24 valve injectors. So the inj. will work behind a Ppump? The reasone I ask is because vp going out again
Never mind piston issue.

The conversion is a little spendy. You need the pump, lines, front cover etc... But it can be a really awesome set up.

Do you need to swap pistons or not?

if you run your head and convert over to the ppump you will not need to run different pistons. parts are going to be around 2500 for the swap.

I'd say thats about right unless you want to get a hot pump...plus a lot of time...

I forget who but there's a guy who cruises the forums often who has a p-pumped 24v with a cam and a ton of work. also if you look in the conversion section of threads a guy started one about his brothers truck. they can give you some more info if you asked.

you can buy a whole kit from haisley and schied but if you found a donor truck you could get most all the parts off that (linkages, mounting brackets front cover etc) for probably a lot cheaper
