Olding took his nv4500 past a million miles with just regular maintenance. I'm not sure how important they are in stock applications, but I don't know for sure either way.

I've been curious on how well they work. The oil isn't pumped through it, like a big truck trans that has a cooler on it.

The best I can tell it is mounted where pto cover is and gears splash feed and it filters that way. I cant find anyone who use them . Sounds like a good idea though.

That is what I figured, but it isn't under pressure at all. Lubed under pressure would be the best.
