breather kit

Anyone install a breather kit... I think they hook on to the "puke" line... is it worth it? http://www.purecummins.com/catalog/p...s-breather.php

$170 for that kit! No need. Like Sean said, extra hose will work. Also, MoparMan did his in a pretty neat way, and he may have a write up on it (like everything else! - THANK YOU)

My mod maybe cost .07 cents. I found an old metal handled mop laying around the barn (you can buy the handles at any home improvement store, or Wal Mart for about $5 or $7) and cut a length of it...pushed it into the stock rubber hose, hose clamped it at the joint, and BAM! no more clogged radiator, or oily fan shroud!

My truck wants to be a semi when it grows up...

I agree thats a pretty pricey kit for something you can do for cheap. That looks like a water separator from a air compressor with a filtered breather on top.

01 quad cab 4x4, edge drag comp, 4" exhaust, fass 150, 250 ddps, Jefferson State compounds 683hp so vp 11.91. AMSOIL front to rear. now back to stock 95 fummins in the works

I just extended the OEM breather with some additional hose to make it about 4 inches off the ground. Helps to keep the undercarriage nice and corrosion free.
