Talking thermostat question

hey guys im hopein somebody can walk me through the process of changing a thermostat in my 01. ive never changed 1 before on this motor and it looks to me like i am goin to have to pull the alternator just to change it. if anybody wants to take the time to walk me through the steps or has a good link to another website where i can see it done (with pictures would be great) i would really appreciate it. thanks

Suggestion just drain about 1 gallon of coolant you don't need to drain it dry... The wrench size is wrong its a 10mm (i think?) on a 2002 Dodge... Another thing if you doing a cooling system flush always change the thermostat at that time then you'll never have a problem...
