Edge Juice with Attitude

Hey guys,

Just got my Edge Juice with Attitude installed and love it! Much more power than the Superchip. I just have a couple questions though: On take of the truck has a really bad slow start then seems like when the boost builds up it takes off and then you have to hold on, is this normal with the Edge because the Superchip wasn't like that. It was just like a normal start. Second, What numbers should I being looking at on the guages for safe ranges, like fuel pressure, Egt, boost, and tranny temps.

Thanks again guys this is a wonderful site.

Adjust you power settings...

MAIN LEVEL - How much max fuel and timing you will recieve.

1. 40 HP
2. 60 HP
3. 80 HP
4. 100 HP
5. 120 HP

SUBLEVEL - DEFUELED MODES - These levels are for big injectors and for controlling smoke.

1. 33% of stock fuel and timing till 20 PSI of boost is reached.
2. 50% of stock fuel and timing till 15 PSI of boost is reached.
3. 67% of stock fuel and timing till 10 PSI of boost is reached.

SUBLEVEL - POWER MODES - These levels as for additional power, MPG and timing.

4. Some extra fuel and timing given at 0 PSI of boost.
5. Full fuel and timing given at 0 PSI of boost.

Best power and MPG can be had on 5x5. I pull 23.7 MPG as a high mark and typically hit 20-22 MPG running 5x5. Just use this rule and high numbers will happen...

"Keep you boost under 5 PSI and Pyro under 600*F and 20+ MPG's will happen"

Safe Range for Boost.
0 - 35 PSI for stock turbo charger.

Safe range for fuel pressure.
10 - 20 PSI. Typically 15 PSI... NEVER let it fall below 10 PSI or VP44 damage will occur!

Safe Range for Pyro.
1200 MAX. You can exceed this number but only for short burst.

I didn't know you could adjust the sublevels. Will it show me on the monitor how to do this?

Hmmm... I'm not sure with Juice... (Pull out your owner manual and read!)

But as for the Edge Comp I hold my power switch for 3 seconds and the level bar start flashing showing sub-level for current level. Select up or down accordly. Then turn off and back on... Now set.

Always think that so cool when my buddy got to pull out the tool box for hims 12V to adjust his AFC starwheel or fuel screw...

I called him, he said he was on the road and would call me back but I guess he got busy and never returned the call. I got it from thoroughbred diesel and got it for 629.00 shipped next day.

On the main run page, pushing the up or down arrow will change the power settings, 1-5. To change the response, you need to push the menu button once. You'll see something for either configuration or performance. (Don't recall off hand, without going out to the truck.) Select the correct one, then you'll see (might need to scroll up or down to find it), and you'll see something for changing the low boost response settings.

I'm running mine on 3x5 (wire not tapped). Still have some lag, but not as bad as stock.

Don't be afraid to push bottons on it. Can't hurt anything, as long as the EGTs stay reasonable. Never seen over 1000* on 5x5.

Was the boost elbow installed? Mine isn't yet.

I did find the adjustment on one of the menu pages to adjust the low end boost setting from the factory it is set on medium and I put it on high and it took some of the lag out but did cause the EGTs to go up slightly. Yes, I did put the boost elbow on, I love hearing the turbo sing!!!!!!!!!!!
