Edge update

Well it left me on the side of the road again. This time it was only for about ten minutes until I disconnected it. I was on a long road trip (again) and as I was heading into Nebraska I pulled over onto a dirt road to take a leek and to move my gun into the back since Nebraska has liberal gun laws. As I was pulling away the truck lost power, kept running and the check engine light came on. It did sit there and idle and all other indications seemed normal but would not respond to throttle imputes. So as I learned from my last episode I disconnected the Edge from the fuse box and all was fine. The rest of the trip did have it's excitement because we got into the first big snow storm of the year as we went into Wyoming. Long story short---- 6 hours of snow+HWY 80 closed (all night). SO not being and adult, despite being 45 I took to dirt roads with 1-1.5 foot snow drifts and made it to my brothers ranch 4 hours later seeing only 4 vehicles in 4 hours. I still would recommend the Edge because I get 2-4 MPG from it + the power but; do know how to disconnect it!!! It is on it's way back to the factory and I told them I will accept a used unit but don't send me that one. I will let you know how the company treats me!

Glad you made is safely again! Yea, I'm anxious to hear how Edge is with the customer service. I am about to send my Comp in to them to have it checked out for some issues. From being on the phone with them, they seemed real good, so that is a good first impression...time will tell!

My truck wants to be a semi when it grows up...

I sent edge my attitude monitor couple months back and they were very helpful/timely. They replaced my lcd screen for free but charged me for shipping. I sent the monitor on a Tuesday and had it back that next monday. So good product, good costumer service in my book!

That is the only thing I not to happy with Edge for is the EDge Juice monitor tend to fail. The old school Edge Comp has very little to fail and seem to last forever but the down side is requires gauges...

Been a while since I have been on but... I have to tell you I love my edge juice. I had a problem with my first one with the turbo timer but custermer service was great called and they exchanged it that day at the speed shop I bought it from. As an added note I have to thank every one that helped me back in april. My truck runs GREAT. I will post with particulars later ( long story) . Can't go wrong with Edge or Pureflow.

Ya my first edge problem came in the form of a turbo timer also. Make no mistake you will have more issues than a stock truck but IMHO it's worth it as long as you know how to bypass it when the truck acts up and, it wont damage anything.

I've been running my Drag Comp for a little over 4years now. The only quirk I have ever had with it, is on a couple of occasions about 3 years ago, I would turn the truck on and the box would be off, and all the sub-levels set to level 3. It did it intermittently a couple of times, when I was the only one in the truck, so it wasn't my friends messing with me. And it hasn't done it since. All in All, I am extremely happy with it.

Right behind you... I'm also a Edge Comp owner. The only bug I found was a sub level issue with levels 4 and 5. But long story short I understand the limitation of the bug and know how to work around it.

Got my Edge back, and it was re-flashed. Not bad on the turn around time, and no charge. I will let you know if its fixed after my next long trip.
