upgrading the ground for a vp44

I was doing some searching on here about vp44 problems and I saw it mentioned a couple of times to upgrade the ground for the pump because the factory one was not good. How have some of you guys gone about doing this, just curious?

The actual ground wire is behind the starter... You must remove the starter for access. But typically it dirty connection that foul things up for VP44, APPS, etc... So keep your battery terminals clean and check the terminal connection for ground...

Actually the problem is mostly for APPS problems for weak grounds...
