I looked at one the other day, I think it was made by Python. But it says that you can set it in diesel mode and it will wait until the "wait to start" light goes off, I think it was like 200 bucks at crutchfield.

Python & Viper are the same....one of several brands made by
Directed Electronics Inc (DEI) http://www.directed.com/Products/Security/Default.aspx

200 bucks PLUS installation...450 for the alarm & install is a GOOD deal for
a 2 way remote start alarm

Yeah the one I was looking at was remote start/key less entry, if you live in a cold climate state it is probably worth the $, that and 3 cylinder high idle! Would make a world of difference in warming these trucks up. Plus i wouldn't have to run outside in shorts t-shirt and boots to start my truck lol

remote start is beneficial in WARM climates too....its great to have a truck <interior>
cooled <by a/c> w/ the remote start (imagine living in TEXAS in the SUMMER and getting
in a HOT truck !)
