I turned 21
1999 not going over 22 psi

1999 Cummins, Auto with new TC and shift kit, 4x4, K&N air filter, 4" exhaust, Edge Comp, divider in exhaust housing ground out, 3.55 gearing on 35's.

I put a boost controller on it, and we even tried putting vice grips on the hose going to the wasegate. We're trying like hell, but can not get this thing over 22psi of boost. The air filter is clean, fuel filter has only 1000 miles on it, no boost leaks we can hear. It smokes until about 20 psi, then it's clean up to 22 psi. I was thinking lack of fuel, but fuel pressure gauge stays up good. I have come to the conclusion that the ECM is defueling it, but I do not understand why because I thought the Comp was a fooler and keep the fuel going? We even tried putting my old stock HX35 on there, same thing. Only other thing I can think of is that the auto isn't loading it enough, but I know other rigs with auto's making more than that.

what setting are you runnin on your comp box??? on my edge with level 6 i easly hit 1500 egt.. and i wired the waste gate shut on my 01' and i can hit 35 psi and if i have the smoke switch on i got smoke til 28 psi

Pretty sure he's running it on 5x5. Far as I know it's not anything special, no Hot Unlock, not a Drag Comp. I was also recently informed this pickup has 160,000 miles on it on the factory original VP44. It has the in tank booster pump which was put in between 50,000 and 60,000 miles. Could it possibly be heading south?

yaa i say so at 130k i put a new vp44 and fass pump(had a bad run in with bio) and the truck ran a whole lot better,, but i know that the in tank booster pump is junk, id say he needs to put a real lift pump on it...but does the truck feel like it dogs out at 22 psi??

01' Dodge 3500 dually 4x4 285/75/16's auto(with billet goodies and tc) 4.10 gears, k+n intake,the silencer ring fell outta my turbo ,edge juice w/att. w/hot,smoke switch,4' strait pipe w/6' tip, fass 95,

HX35 Blocked Wastegate I could turn 40psi Comp on 5x5 no problem...

ya but dosent a hx 35 start to over spin at 35 psi??? or 37?? leaving them couple extra pounds usless??
