24v Misfire

ok iv been trying to figure this out for a bit at idle it runs ruff with a random miss and with lite to mid throttle at low rpm's 1000-1500ish it will buck sometimes. i figure there would be alittle considering its a 5sp but it seams its getting worse the miss has been there sence i bought it over 10k miles ago i was thinking it was a leaking injector cuz my mileage was slowly dropping starting at about 22 than the lowest it got was 17 and i changed the injectors for some 50hp ones and its going back up (at 19 now) but the miss is still there i noticed the vp44 was replace but dont know when. any ideas?????

fuel pressure never goes below 15psi even under load
max boost seen is 28psi
egts have hit about 950 befor backing out of it

First of all, do you have anything else done to the truck? Maybe check the fuel filter, and maybe check along the fuel lines for cracks, anywhere air could get in the system. Im just still to point somethings out there for you.

i went to his profile and hes got a 99' cummins 2500 with a s&b intake, 4" exhaust, 50hp injectors and a different pump so far as we know. Maybe you get the numbers off the pump and maybe someone can help you out on which pump it is! As far as i remember that should be the 235hp pump. Do you remember where that pump came from?

sorry kinda new to the forum thing lol il have to check out the numbers on the vp44 i just noticed it has a remanufactured sticker on it. all thats done to it is the superchips on tow safe, 50hp injectors, 4 inch exhaust, and the s&b intake other than that thats all thats done it pulls great the main reason it replaced the injectors was that it fealt like an injector was leaking. under load (doesnt need to be alot of load even just part throttle) it has a fast shake to it and sounds like one cylinder is trying alot harder. today i was cruzing up a hill on the freeway and it was doing the normal running ruff and than all of a sudden it was nice and smooth and alot quieterthan it slowly got ruff again over the next mile. iv drained the water separator at each fill up and have tried the fuel additives and no change. ill have to pickup a fuel filter and do a good fueline inspection but i dont think that thats it.

Just trien to point out a few thangs, It maybe the pump. Ive heard people putting on the wrong pumps on theses trucks

so i drove it about 600 miles this weekend i had the jeep behind it one day and the trailer with the quads and on satit was running like crap but yesterday it was running better but not great im starting to think it could be a leak in the fuel line somewhere where it could be sucking air after you had said that i was paying more attention to it and the fuel pressure isn't constant and i did notice iw was idleing funny sometimes ill have to get into more detail when i get off work

i pressurized the fuel system and saw no leaks i have the intank pump and an inline booster pump. i dont see any leaks at all.im running out of ideas its totaly idling funny like normaly it idles at like 925 till i get close to stopping than goes down to 850 but now sometimes it will go to 925 than up to like 1050 and sometimes later drops to 850 or sometimes it stays at 925 could it be that apps sensor should i adjust it i hear alot about adjusting it

It could be, I can get some adjustments for you, if you dont have it. Also where is you fuel pressure unit at the pump?
