RAPTOR

Ok guys got my replacement pump from pure flow friday. I just got home with a wrecker ride! This has taken a dump on me. It only made 240 miles. Whar now my gauge is screwed so i wasnt able to watch it. I dont know what to do 3x in 4 months my truck has run out of fuel so im sure injector pump will be next. Do yall think its bad pumps or could it be something in the tank that keeps eating them up? I checked relay and fuse on pump and its fine. I need help cause if its something with my truck eatin pumps i need to figure it out. I kinda got nasty with the guy at pureflow about it but could it be my truck! The first one i got in october and it went out 2 weeks ago and this one has made it 4 days! But before 2 weeks ago it has been flawless.

I'd be looking at your truck for the problem at the moment. Get that fuel press gauge working, too!

How is it plumbed and wired?

Just looking at some of your old post, it looks like you may have other problems. Is your truck still throwing codes? You may want to trouble shoot all of the problem not just the easy stuff.

I did a long thread on a Bad Raptor install. I suggest you read it. Lots of good info and covers just about everything that could possibly go wrong thanks to the skumbags at Lee's Auto Ranch in Ellington CT.

Hmmmm...

The first thought to mind is that a Raptor 150 doesn't have a pre-filter to protect it from debris. So that is the first thing to check that the tank is full of dirt and debris. Then check the fuel lines to be sure there not sucking air or plugged up.

Have yuo checked the Voltage at the LP while it's running ? Beleive me, this is where a test light doesn't cut. My problem turned out to be that it was only getting about 4 volts because of bad battery connections by the sc umbags at Lee's Auto Ranch. The test light lit up but it was getting resistance. Also I personally think the relay Pureflow uses is not HD enough. I have burned a few up. I carry a jumper wire and a spare relay. I'm going to eventually rewire a continous use Soleniod like the Meyers PLow Pumps use.

Well doesnt ip send signal to lp. I took raptor off truck and put on my buddys truck and my truck did the same thing with his raptor. Its some thing with my truck. I keep getting p0230 that for lift pump and p0216. But pump was bosch and they said it was bad. Truck has 225k on origanal pump so new ip aint gonna hurt it but once i get new one and it still happens im gonna get a lil furhter into it!

No...

The LP signal is directly from the ECM without a relay. If you take notice to the fuel pump relay in the PDC that is for the VP44... Also thr G107 ground is located behind the starter and requires you to remove the starter to access this ground.

As for the error code P0230 its pointing to the fact that either the Ampere rate is too high or too low for the lift pump.
