bad turbo??

i think my turbo may be ready to blow. today i was pulling a hill at 28psi and 1400F and i noticed like a exhaust leak sound and it really loud now and the turbo screams. when your off the throttle theres no sound but as soon as i build any boost the noise is there it sounds like a leak but cant find any at all???

1,400 lil hot for my liking first off! When im pulling hard I hear like "wooosh" sound around 27 psi or so right up to 32 or so it sounds like the waste gates dumping but I still maintain full boost. Runs fine when making this noise IDK? My turbo screams any way with the little mods I do have I run real heavy most the time to in hilly country.

checked that and its good. when i start it theres a small puff of soot by the turbo so im thinkin the turbo flange gasket blew out or a manifold gasket

Glad to hear that you found it. Now my 2 cents would say that those problems more then likely came from running hot for more than a few seconds and high boost while she was hot

Check your turbo for damages...
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummin...urbo/turbo.htm

Then check your exhaust for leaks, holes, or crack manifold... Sometimes the manifold crack on the underside... So crawl under the truck and look up at it...
