bad oil leak

my truck like many others on here latley has had a really bad oil leak the whole drivers side of the engine is covred in oil this has just really got bad in the past week. i drive it 30-40 miles a day and im putting in a quart of oil every 2 days latley. i would assume that this is the vaccum pump seal but that just seems like alot of oil im going through to me? any imput is greatley appricated.

have you checked the bolts on the front cover? i've seen them come loose a couple times before and leak oil all over the place...just a thought

Front crank seal, vacuum pump, stock crankcase vent with excessive blowby... Just a few...

the day i graduated high school
Get some degreaser, soak it for about 15-20mins and rinse off then start it up and just get under it and watch it for.

97' Cummins 2500 Gauges from glowshift (EGT, boost) Fuel pressure gauge from auto-meter. Stage 2 airbox, boost elbow, barrels & plungers turned.Custom fuel plate,Airdog 150gph.AFC mods & 3K GSK.SDX injectors (stage 3 140hp).Drilled wastegate.Converted to a NV4500 with a double disc. Being restored from the ground up


01' Cummins 2500 (dads) with a Hotrod pump,100hp injectors, Fass 150, Edge juice with attitude,also plug and power chip,stage 2 ice box,4 1/2 exgaust pipe,HX40

good chance its the front case gasket and or cover gasket........not a fun project at all half the damn truck and engine gota come apart

Couldnt be bad as mine. i sold my truck and i told the person, it would be a good idea to put valve cover breathers in it so the tappet cover wont bust again. Make a long story short i took the truck back and got in it and started and seen no oil pressure and quickly turned it off and open the hood and checked the oil level and there was probably a quart in it, and seen this big ol puddle of oil and Man i was cussing like a sailor and they acted like it was a deal. So now im in the process of replacing the tappet cover,gear housing gasket,vaccum pump seal,valve cover gaskets bascally the whole nine yards!
