Hydro boost unit?

Hi Everyone. New to site. Fro_911 refered me.
Anyways. I have an 02 2500 with the 5.9. On the Vacuum boost just behind the Master brake cylinder is the "hydro boost unit" which boosts the steering fluid back down to the steeering pump. This thing is leaking steering fluid at the connection face to the vacuum boost itself. Im assuming theres some o-ring or cup seal in there that went bad. I cant find a rebuild kit or a replacement part for this. Anyone have any ideas?

Well there is a rebuild kit for it on the net... I don't have a link but seen they are available. But it might be worth it to buy a rebuild unit and just replace it...

As for you PS fluid what color is it and is it burnt smelling?

Hmmm... Did you try the dealer just ot probe them for information like part numbers or anything? They might give you enough information on where to find one...

The rear seal can be replaced, measure the OD, ID and check with your parts house.

Parts are not avail for rebuild because the accumulator works at 1250 # and if you do not do things just right it is messy.

It has been a long time and the dealers service books were on the shelf but a cup of ATF will cover an absolutly amazing amount of stuff, even 3 stalls down.
