cluster problems

While driving down the road volt guage will drop the 8 volts and the check guage light comes on. Can stop and turn truck off wait and restart and volts will be 14. Changed alt but i know the computer controlls the voltage regulator and dodge had problems with those computers. has done this several times but last night it done it and i checked with volt meter and had 13.9 with guage saying 8. Is there a reflash on cluster or is there another solution to this. 2001 auto, edge with juice, fass 150,stock turbo, stock injectors, truck runs great. Run edge on 5x5.

This happened to me when i did my 6 spd conversion from the auto and connected the manual PCM. All I had to do was have Bob Wagner send me an update so I could reflash the computer. I did a code check and it said something about an ASD (auto shutdown circuit) relay issue. Might want to check that. All of my other gauges would also lose signal every now and then. (All backlights would shut off and all gauges would go to lowest reading.)
