where to place thermcouple

I need to know where to place the thermcouple on a 2006 LLY. Pictures would be great. Thanks

Just about everybody uses the passenger side manifold & on the #8 cylinder

Just an FYI

I am aware of 2 trucks that have cracked the manifold by tapping it there Blue and one other. I think when McRat finds time to swap it out, we are going to go with the BD manifold which goes on the driverside but comes pre-tapped. From what I understand that one is a PITA to swap.

Ya but isn't that only seem to happen with high EGT #s that the LLYs can produce & some Lb7s.

That driversside manifold does look like it would be fun, good time to change the steering shaft while doing manifold.
