What would happen if....

You ran a Duramax without an intercooler?

------------------------------------------------------------------

Would missing it affect the turbo at all?

Would not having it mess with the ECM programming?

What would the likely power drop be?

I'm just curious....

With all the extra heat in the air you yould have super high egt's and lower performance. Every 1 degree warmer the intake is, its 3 degrees of egt.

2005 GMC 2500HD 4x4 DMax ZF-6
Blizzard 800 plow, Triple stack of doom
285 BFG mud terrains, Conrad 4" straight pipe, Dynadroit dual disc

I kind of figured that. But to compensate, would you have to run a different tune to lower boost?

i've heard of sled pullers running no ic, but they snort a whole lot of water meth to keep egt's down, but looking at it respectively without the heat factor, you will gain horsepower because there is no boost loss because there is no ic.
