Ok need help

Ok i have a friend who is so damn spoiled its not even funny. I know nothing about dmax's but he has a pretty good lump sum of cash he whats to throw into his 05. he is wanting a plain nasty street truck no drag, or puller but he wants it to be a reliable 600hp. He has heard that the allison can be to smart for its own good is this a true statement? Just throw me some combos to help him out. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Brandon

Suncoast 4 or 5 trans.
MPI twins
Airdog or FASS fuel pump
LBZ turbo inlet and intake


And then the obvious mods..... guages, exhaust, intake, good EFILive tune

Added what I think the prices are. Keep in mind that I am just thinking all of this up off the top of my head. All depends on what he buys, so he'll have to do his own research.

He could also go with a GT40 or even an S400 single turbo. The old reliable Aurora5000 will get him over 600 too.

Thanks alot man. He has about $15,000 to $20,000 he says he dont want to go over that but i know he would lol to put towards performance if need be. So will he need to think about studs or a tear down for pistons, rods etc...

OK, let me back up a bit.

I got to thinking about it today, and all that info is not entirely accurate, and since Im no expert, I dont want you getting the wrong ideas of things. So you have my apologies for the above posts....

I forgot the first rule of perf...build the low end first. Dmax rods can handle most anything up to 550rwhp, but anything above that, you're really playing with fire. Since he wants a reliable 600+rwhp, here goes a revised list:

1) Intake, exhaust, lift pump/pickup, good EFILive tune
2) Rods (Carillo, Crower, R&R, Howards), possibly cut pistons
3) Aurora 5000 or comparible turbo, with Diamond Eye downpipe
4) Dual CP3s
5) Built trans, Suncoast 4 equivalent preferred.

Theres probably something I've forgotten, so I highly recommend calling the following people for help:

Dude you are the man. Im learning new things bout diesels everyday being this is my first. My friend has no idea but how to push the go pedel down all the way lol. thanks again for your help.
