Got a dumb question- maybe
I have a 2008 spartan
tuned no dpf and I get the code for coolant temp below tstat temp. No big deal cause the truck runs fine and once i get on highway it usually gets up to 189-195 depending on outside temp. Around town it takes a little longer to get up to that temp.
I know in a regular gas engine it needs to heat up to combust the gas and run efficient. Is the diesel engine the same?
Truck is going in next week for the leaky upper radiator hose and I would have them fix the other issue if its a problem. Fuel mileage is not that bad, its an honest 16-17 combo highway and city. highway only 18-19.
