6.4 back in production

Navistar is being forced to resume production of the 6.4. Still can't be good but at least the trucks will keep coming off the line.

I guess the 6.4 won't be a collector's item yet...

Wonder what the reliability will be since they are being forced to go back to building them.

No doubt Navistar is PO'd about it, but we only know what they want us to know, I am sure there is a lot more to it than is made public. They both need each other to survive. I hope they can come to an agreement and get on w/ the show.

I don't know if the quality will be affected or not, but I'm not willing to test it right now. I cancelled my order for a new 08. I will wait a good six months of watching these boards and seeing how they hold up before I put in a new order.

I hope they dont get sloppy with the engines. Otherwise, it should be ok.

Go Greyhound, and leave your luggage with us. *maybe not intentionally*

I doubt quality suffers due to the fact that the people actually building the motors aren't the same execs arguing over this they're the working class employees who almost had a surprise vacation. Unless navistar started going cheap on materials or something. But we'll see.

Quality shouldn't suffer. Navistar is being forced to ship the engines and Ford is being forced to pay. Navistar/ International is getting what they want. Full Price. If the quality suffers then ford will suffer. But I think many will think that International built another POS for the superduty. I think it will hurt both but it will drag international in the mud.
