Cool truck delayed by rail strike?

hi, ive been watching this site for a while and find it very informative. i decided to post because my salesman told me that my 08 black f450 lariat has been built, but was being held up by a rail strike. has anyone heard this or is he blowing smoke up my rear. i orderd the truck on 2/17 and was told 8 weeks so it is on time so far. :thanks:

No rail strike hear where they are all loaded, but there is a stop shipping
order at the plant, they have to reprogram all the trucks before shipping.

I agree, I dont know a whole lot but never heard of any rail strike, pry like above post, reprogram your truck so you dont get the flame thrower

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD

Quick actually I have done that.. what they call a yard campaign and it sucks to say the least... the last rail strike that i knew of was actually up in canada and our gm plant was worried we weren't gonna get our frames for the trucks we build but they got it all taken care of. I am sure it isn't of a strike its for the yard campaign which just isn't the yard but nation wide now.

vrsc, your right i'll give them the full 8 weeks, then if they keep pulling my chain, maybe i will raise some hell. the problem is that some of these salesman are misinformed or just dont know anything about the product they are selling. thanks to all you guys for the info and quick responses.

vrsc, on a side note a also have a vrod. its an 03 that is fully customized except the frame and motor. i'll try to get some pics on here if im allowed.

Mine was on time

I ordered an F250 on 2/24 and it arrived last wednesday--just under 6 weeks!!!! It's a shame it had 3 dents on it so I am not taking it and waiting for the Harley Edition. The salesman knows I want to wait and was cool with that.
