After Iraq Advice

I feel bad being on this site already but if there is anyone to come to about the truck I want you guys are the guys to come to. But after my return vacation to Iraq here later on this year I really look forward to buying the new 6.4. I just wanted to ask you guys a few questions though real quick...What do you guys like most about the 6.4's? What are some of the problems or things you dont like about the 6.4? And last question...I'll have atleast 5-10 grand easy to spend on mods but I dont want to murder the warranty like I did with my 150....so with that amount of money what would be some of the most benificial mods you guys would recommend? Thanks for all your help and I'm excited to be on here.

What I like about the 6.4
1. How it starts- quick and quiet.
2. How quiet the motor is
3. It's quicker than my 6.0l stock vs. stock
4. Great roll on power during highway driving
5. the trans has been flawless.
6. I think the interior is as good or better than a Caddilac.
7. The new body style turns heads. The girls at college tell me my truck is HOT.
8. Ride quality- no sqweaks or rattles, very smooth.

Cons-
1. The fact it regenerates although it is barley noticable. It actually seems to spool up quicker off the line during regen.
2. MPG although it has been slowly improving. Around 14.5 mpg highway.
3. I only have a 30 gal. tank.

Mods- That ones on you, every ones different.

kill a insurgent for me.

Well if I got a 6.4 it'd be a F450 Dually or a F350 dually with the F450 front flares, But anyways getting the 450 is a better idea if you plan to lift it, you can run bolt-on 22.5 semi wheels, you don't need adapters because the F450 is 10 lug where the F350 is 8 lug. Anyways I'd get a black F450 crewcab/long bed dually put it on a 8" DR lift with 22.5s and 37" semi tires, and maybe some 6" stacks.....or you could just leave it stock and dump 10k into the motor...which I'd do if they made performance products for these new trucks yet....the AFE intake would be on my list either way though.

04 Silverado 2500HD LB7/Allison, EFI live by duramaxtuner.com with DSP5, 4" MBRP turbo back straight pipe, polished 5" tip, 5% tint, riding on 285 fierce attitudes, many more mods....
