Question for JOHN_G

John,
In answer to my previous regen question, you said every OE measures EGT post turbo and 1250* is about the uppper limit for any length of time. Did you mean 1250* post turbo was about the upper limit for any length of time or 1250* pre turbo? You mentioned pre turbo for older vehicles right at the end of your answer. I am interested in what is upper safe limit for a 2006 6.0L measured about 4 inches downstream (post turbo) from the turbo. That is where I have my pyro probe. Also what would be any length of time?

What EGT's are being seen during the regen cycle and how long does the cycle usually last?
