Im on the original flash as well, I did not like what the recall letter had to say about depowering my truck & having to pull to the side of the road.
My DPF might have an accident anyway.

No you guys need to get in there and get the reflash. My DPF was damaged from the flame throwing and they had to replace it, its not going to make your truck lose power, but I was told every time you take the truck have the computer updated that is unless you plan on programming the truck later down the road, he he he

No actually it never did that when I got the truck, but when I bought it, it had 40 miles on it so it might have done it before then. I did it because I was having a hard time with the AFE stage 2 intake with the CEL coming on, I did the reprogramming and it fixed the problem, great guys over there at AFE they were willing to work in the truck if I was able to get it to them...

Had my truck reflashed, drives the same as before. My truck would smoke every so often during regen with the stock flash, no smoke after the reflash.

Yeah I would get it done asap, like I said I never saw the flames but the dealer had to replace the DPF because the CEL kept coming on....

my dad never got his reflashed either. After 11,000 miles no probs. If you rev it up in neutral or park ot will blow black smoke. I cant wait to see it when i get the pipe from 6.4kid.

You can get that tube from anyware. All you need to do is buy a DPF back kit, the measure the length from the downpipe to the end of the DPF and replace it with a T304 ss 4''x.060 wall tube and weld her up, its a strait shot from the downpipe through the DPF, no bending needed. Any one want stainless tubes I your man, although the material is not cheap.
