I have 1.3 million O-T-R miles behind me. For 3 years I ran team, and our avg was 22 hours a day at 60 mph....(1320 per day)...that is well over the 1000-1131 miles per day that they said they logged. It can and has been done, when that is what you are paid to do. BUT it is a tough way to make a buck.

That sure isn't an avg speed. I'd like to see you pull a 12 or 18k trailer up a 12% grade with that truck, and still maintain 70mph. I could see running 22hrs/day, but not 16, to avg that many miles/day.

150k miles in 131 days @ 16 hrs/day, the avg comes to 1145 miles/day. Avg speed would have to be 71.56mph. If you run 22hrs, it would be an avg speed of 52.04mph.

And that is assuming a constant steady speed, w/ no stops at all. Got to eat, whiz, and get fuel a minimum 2 times/day for sure, with fairly flat to gently rolling ground and no slow pokes, road construction, or city traffic.

22hrs/day is realistic. 16? I doubt it.

That's pretty neat. I wonder if they're testing for Ford or working independently. Would be neat to have been on that trip.
