08 White smoke???

My 08 started pouring out white smoke today during a regen. When I stepped on the gas there was no response. I turned the truck off for a couple minutes then started it up. Seems ok and running now but has a check engine light. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

just strait pipe it and throw the dpf on a hook in your garage

I would love to take the DPF off but I'm afraid that it would do more damage to the computer or engine. I'll wait until MBRP makes a delete system. I did see the video of the 08 with no cat and dpf, it looked really good. Are the sensors left in or taken out?
