Over active regen

My truck has been regening every 100 or so miles,I took it in friday for the flash and thought that would cure the problem, today the truck started regen after only 20 miles since the last regen  Had to go in the lumber yard and turned the truck off and when I restarted the truck didnt go into regen again..

Anyone else have this over active regen happen to there 6.4L?

I noticed when I drive in rush hour or city driving for long periods of time it regens more often- like every 150 miles.

the computer does a regen cycle when the pressure sensor in the dpf reads high enough. extended idling, bad or wrong fuel can cause excessive regens.

Yea I drive alot of city stop and go but that seems like ALOT of regens to me.
I buy all my fuel from a big shell station and have never gotten any bad fuel from there but I guess it could happen.

I also fill up at shell often, don't think fuel is a issue. I think it might have something to do with the stop and go driving, how hot it has been lately, and running the A/C alot.

yea its because of the city driving, everytime you take off the truck creates a lot of black smoke which then clogs the filter. After driving in 6.4lKids truck, I can see why they regen so much, these motors arent clean burning at all. The filter just catches everything.

you guys could be getting low sulfur instead of ultra low. even with no filter, the ulsd is supposed to produce next to no smoke.
