6.4 hp numbers, any?

Has anyone seen impressive numbers on these 6.4's yet, im curious to see what these trucks full potential is...? I saw a video of a 6.7 cummins putting out 618 hp to the rear wheel (and i thought that was pretty damn impressive) here's the video if you guys are interested... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru4UZbsyFAY

I hear 400hp is all the turbos will handle and 500hp is out of the question. Still early to tell what some of these guys will push these trucks to....

According to a member on TDS, who says that they know an international engineer, the turbo setup on the 6.4 can only handle 400HP and the setup needs to be replaced to get 500HP. Who knows, but I can believe it.

Yeah it is sort of a bummer that you can't push this engine much, but on the bright side I think it has great power as it is. Not too mention that if you leave it stock at least till the warranties are up, you don't have to worry about FORD giving you a hard time about covering things that may go bad.

One of my good Friends works for International at the R&D plant who is very familiar with the 6.4. Over a few beers I asked him about what to watch out for when I start hot rodding the truck. To my suprise he told me take off those turbos before I do anything serious. He said those turbos are not designed for anything over 400hp; he guarantees a turbo failure at the 500hp range, sooner or later.
On the good side he said the internals are night and day better than the 6.0l. He also said even though there are only 10 head studs, they will never cause problems like the 6.0l and are massive in comparision.
He is going to hook me up with a 500+pg. book on the maxxforce 7(top secret) with all the wiring diagrams and motor break downs.[QUOTE=Rainman]

Do you know something the international R&D team doesn't???

well that sucks the cummins guys always put down sick power ! I sure when the tuners are able to get tune right without the dpf and some new turbo that can handle more then 500 the 6.4 will put some power down !

There are guys that are already putting down more than 400 horsepower (RWHP for that matter) The turbo's seem to be supporting it and not even smoking that much?
