Thinking Of Buying A F450

I have blown my third set of HGs on my 6.0 and am tired of it. How is the f 450 with 4.88s. I tow an 18000lb 5th wheel and want something that dosn't blow water all the time. How much have have you towed with one and how did it do. What kind of MPG's did you get while pulling this load. I know i'm asking a lot of questions but I don't want to get burned again.:

the 6.4 vs. the 6.0 is no comparison, no reliability problems so far, and if you're "just" towing 18k I think 4.33's would do fine

I'm towing 16,500# with 4:30's with no problems at all. The truck was new at the time and I was getting around 9.5 - 10 mpg. Will find out in a few months (when I start towing again) if it has improved any. My solo mpg's have improved.
