Which 550

I was looking into a new 550. Dealer around here has a left over 07 with the 6.0. plus the new 6.4s. I have the dodge 6.7 now and hate the emission crap, I dont know what to do. Please give me some opinions

The new 6.4 will have just as much if not more emissions crap as your 6.7 . And After all the problems with the 6.0 in 250s and 350s I would never consider one in a 550. I would think that is just asking for the truck to be in the shop.
Good luck with your decision.

Thanks alot. I believe soon the aftermarket will come through for us on the new diesels. I love the exhaust brake on the 6.7 and dont want to give it up but I just dont respect Chrysler anymore.

The 6.4 has less emissions crap on it than the cummins.

My brother just bought a 6.4 last week and it seems like its goin to be a great truck. he already has about a thousand miles on it. it does not have the exhaust brake which i imagine would be nice. also i think that with the problems of the 6.0 ford warrenty has become a lot more considering so i wouldnt worry about that with a new 6.4. also it doesnt have near the emissions crap the 6.7 has

2001 Dodge ram 2500 6 speed..ARP studs...Hot juice with attitude...ats arcflow...airdog 150...edge jammer 125s..afe stage 2...5inch exhaust w/ 6inch tip...ATS auroa 4000...southbend 3600 dualdisc clutch...:

The 6.4 has alot of smog items, just look at the DIESELPOWER mag. They even have a crack cat between the up pipes and the egr coolers(which are now mounted on the left and ft of engine, thankfully).
