tranny Upgrades for the 08 6.4L ??

Well I've been on the list with mag-hytec for a tranny pan for a couple of months it seems that ford resigned the 5r110 enough that mag-hytec had to cast a new tranny pan now supposedly the 6.4L transmission is called a 5r110w

does anyone know what else was changed ?

I talked to a friend of mine who builds awesome drivetrain parts and he said that a better torque converter could wake the trucks up and net additional mpg's due to less stall and better lock up on the disc what yall thoughts ? he also told me that the weak point on the 5r110's is the forward drive clutches as they can't handle the high torque demand. so just food for thought any impute is good.

Our mechanic at our shop used to do automotive and I asked him what he can do to beef up my tranny. He has a guy that works at and uses the dealership i bought the truck from to rebuild tranny's on the side. He is gonn rebuilld mine for 150$ plus parts.

Since he is a ford mechanic and tranny guru I'll find out what's different

cool sounds awesome I can't wait for some new info. My friend thats got the tranny shop just did a full built 5r110 with billet input shaft and race clutches pretty much everything that is available for the 5r110 is in this tranny. the problem is that you can only buy the clutch packs from suncoast.

here's my friends website he's thinking about being a supporting vendor on here. check out the project vehicles his truck is the 1000+hp and tq dodge dually with a billet E4OD tranny.

Larry Minor of drag racing fame got started with jeeps back when he worked for his dad in Hemet,Ca. A man named Buchard (of Buchard axles)told larry that if he could brake his axles he would replace them free . Larry was running a blown 327 at the time with chain drive transfer case and dana 44 rear end. He blew several engines and t10 transmissions trying. He even hooked his jeep to a phone pole one time and couldn't do it. FYI
