sync

does anyone here know if we can upgrade our 08's with the new sync? I have the nav system and was inquiring if all it would take is a new software install and perhaps the phone antenna. Has anyone else thought about it?

I suspect it is not going to be that easy. If it was they would have offered it during the buying process. I am sure you would need a different head unit to support the function of sync as well as the voice activated commands. I would love to have it sure would make listening to the IPod easier.

i would have prolly waited to buy my truck when the sync came in the Super Duty but I guess I should have done more research before buying. Oh well, I am getting my Z2 installed hopefully next week with all the goodies like ipod, xm, and bluetooth so that should keep me happy for now

you would be way better of buying a pioneer z2 its fricken awesome !!!! but to answer your question If you could find the pieces need and it worked probably the expense would out way the benefit. the 2009 truck will probably have the sync as a option I'm look how long it took ford to make nav an option.
