check air filter and no boost

I was out ice fishing today and had to break trail in about two feet of snow to get to my fishing spot. Had lots of boost when i drove in, but when i went to leave had only 12lbs. Also, check air filter light came on. Was to cold to check it there so i drove home with no problems other than low boost pressure. I,ve read on here that the 08's have a problem with sucking in snow into the air intake. In the morning i plan on looking at my filter, should i expect to regain full power after i clean the snow out. I'm worried that there is something wrong with a turbo.

Ya that sucks, you should have stopped & dug the snow out from around your filter, had to do that with my last 08.

Had this happen when I had an 03 Cummins, pulled out to pass truck had no power low boost, looked over ay my pyrometers egts were through the roof, (I ran three chips stacked at the time) Air filter full of snow & ice, luckily I had a spare. Not good for the engine.

I think ford did something now about the snow getting pulled into the intake. I would call the dealer to check.
