Why is the rear sway bar so tiny?

Did anyone on here opt for the camper package or stabilizer package? The sway bar on the rear looks no bigger than my pinky finger. The one on my 04 is like an inch in diameter.

I don't have the rear sway bar, but I was thinking about adding it to pull a camper trailer. Not sure if it would make much of a difference because it was so small. Does anyone know if it is really worth adding???

Helwig makes a much bigger diameter bar for the rear. I installed one on my '99 and could sure tell a difference with weight in the back. Plus the truck cornered alot better as well. My new truck has the rear stabilizer package and I totally agree that it's too small. If I didn't have the factory one on, I'd install the Helwig.

I ordered mine with the swaybar package ! I like it it keep the truck reasonably stiff. I agree the hellwig sway bar is way stronger than the factory. I just built the truck so I would have less things no mod........Not ! Iwill probably upgrade later.

The one I got now on my truck is huge and its factory. I think i'll wait and put an aftermarket one on the 08. When i pull up behind people in my work car driving 08's with the swaybar package it looks so gay cause its so small

LOl, well how about wimpy. I just pictured myself 2 weeks ago pulling up behind this 08 stroker and my buddy glances under it from inside my work car and was like "jesus that puny sway bar looks like trash".
