Question splash guards

Hello everyone. New to the site new to diesel. I have been reading all the posts for about a year trying to make a choice between ford or gmc. Well after a couple of test drives I pick up a 08 f350 supercab 6.4 on saturday. Anyway I ask them to put some splash guards on it and they told me 250.00 installed. Is this to much or what. I did try to get them for 0 but Im getting a very good price and financing.

Howdy First Diesel and welcome to the site. You have picked a really good forum with a lot of interesting characters here: .
As for the Guards, I noticed that my DRW's were just a bit wider than the flares and had my dealer put on flaps before I ever left the lot, worrying about chips and what not. $182.00 installed. Pretty high but now they are part of my warranty in case they come off. :
Again welcome. You will enjoy being here. I am new to diesel also and there is a wealth of information to be had here.

Hello first diesel, and welcome. I have the same truck that your got. I also got the splash gaurds put on mine. I argued with the dealership's salesman to have these put on along with the cargo management/bed extender with the deal of the truck and he told me that alot of dealerships have special funds that they made to keep a customer satisfied and they installed everything the next day :

Yah I really can't believe they won't throw them in, I don't think they'd lose a deal over mudflaps.
