I got one. Its one from Ford. I dont know how hard it is to put in because I had the dealer do it, i would just rather not do it myself, then if they screw something up its their fault. I like it but I wish it would stay running a little longer, it only runs about 8 minutes. Maybe there is a longer setting:shrug:

I've got remote start on my 97; I love it. I can't imagine it would be any different on the 6.4's...

Mine has remote start added at the dealership prior to the delivery of the truck. My ford dealer has an outside company that they use and the remote start unit is not the same as the one offered as an option in the accessories catalog. It is pretty good, but sometimes the reception from the remote to the truck is not all that wonderful.

I have the Factory remote start, Its WAY better than any other unit. Range is great and it incorporates the keypad on the door. The run time is adjustable but I have yet to find a owners manual or install manual

Hey SAK-

Do you know how to adjust that run time? It doesnt say anything in the owners manual about it. TIA.

I have the Audiovox Prestige. It has a 2000 ft range, lets you know on the screen on the key fob that the engine is running, how long before it shuts down (20 minutes), programmable to start every 2 or 4 hours if very cold, tells you the temp inside the cab, crack open the sliding back glass to force out hot air in summer, and many more things. I like it very well, and works great.

If i could get a hold of the install manual I could tell you. I never got one when I got mine installed, they told me that they had to get everything off the net. I tried looking for about an hour the other day and came up with nothing. I have the install instructions for my 05, but its a different model and I don't want to risk using those commands and screwing this one up.
